Researching:

Researching the automobile(s) you are considering to purchase is a good practice. Narrow down and compare your options head to head. If you have only one automobile on your wish list, you may want to think again. It can't hurt to have a few other options, especially if your first choice doesn't make the cut for some unforeseen reason.

For example:

  • Maybe the safety rating of the car you're considering is far below par and that may be a deciding factor on your final decision.
  • You might desire a certain type of engine (like a Diesel or Hybrid) which may not be available in your state because of emissions laws.
  • The truck or SUV desired may not have the sufficient towing capacity that's really needed.
  • The cubic feet in the trunk does not meet the standards of what you need.
  • A vehicle with AWD ( All Wheel Drive ) over FWD ( Front Wheel Drive ) may be your preference but the vehicle is only available in RWD ( Rear Wheel Drive ).

. and so forth.

If you know at least some of the specific facts in advance, this may prove to save you countless hours of your precious time.

There are countless online resources available to research and review. These resources provide statistics, proven facts, expert reviews, consumer reports, overall ratings, etc. There are many resources out there offering valuable information.

Okay, so hopefully you have established the following:

1) The Terms of Purchase

2) The primary "motivation", the WHY you want or need the new automobile

3) Needs Vs Wants

4) Researching the automobile(s) of interest
